Care of Jewelry

All beaded Necklaces and Bracelets begin with Surgical Grade Sterling Silver wire tested for strength and resistance. Please note, this does not indicate that these can or should be worn for duties that would result in excessive wear and tear. To ensure a lifetime of enjoyment, please treat these items like the treasures they are and do not abuse them.

Wearing Silver often is one of the best preventative measures against tarnish. However, avoid contact with chlorinated water or household cleaners such as bleach and ammonia.

Store Silver pieces individually in a soft pouch (preferably tarnish-proof) or in zip-lock plastic bags in a cool, dry place. To avoid scratching, avoid allowing pieces to rub against each other. If Silver becomes tarnished (it will likely oxidize over time), use a good quality paste, polish or treated polishing cloth. Or, simply wash the Silver with warm water, rubbing in a little soap or toothpaste, rinsing and then patting dry with a fine cloth. Avoid using tissue paper or paper towels as they can scratch Silver.
